Describe your experience. Did you find it beneficial? Difficult? Why or why not? Would you recommend this to others? Why or why not?
I found it very relaxing. I've done yoga before and just something about a person whose voice can relax you so much. It is almost like a dream state and when you come out of it you feel like you have had good nap. I also recommend things to people that has helped me.
What is the concept of "mental workout"? What does the research indicate are the proven benefits of a mental workout? How can you implement mental workouts to foster your psychological health?
Mental workouts can help a person to be prepared for upcoming events. We used to run through mission prep from just speaking to each other and it was amazing that you could picture everything in motion. That is when you knew you had the mission in your head. If you can think it then you can do it. Where the mind goes the body shall follow.
I found it difficult to concentrate again this week and I am not sure why, because crashing waves are generally a relaxing noise for me. Even though I didn't personally find it beneficial I would still suggest it to others. Where you able to turn the loving-kindness inward?
ReplyDeleteWhat type of mental workouts do you do to help prepare yourself for things like school or stressful situations that you know may be coming up? What about stressors that you may not initially be aware of, how do you handle those?
