a.
Physical well-being: 8 – At 47 and after 20 years in the Army and 8
years of rugby after I retired from the army, I’m doing pretty well. I can still move around with the best of them
and better than most of the younger people.
I’ve had a few surgeries but it only slowed me down.
b.
Spiritual Well-being: 7 – I’m at peace with myself and my
beliefs. I truly belief that I am in
control of my future and my destiny. Nothing
s written in stone and can always change.
c.
Psychological well-being: 7 – Compared to what most soldiers go through
after being in conflict, I’m doing great.
I believe in myself and I don’t let the small things get to me. I try to stay ahead of any issues and make
life as simple as I can.
2. Develop a goal for yourself in each area (physical, spiritual, psychological).
My goal is to still be doing the things that I am doing now until the die
I die. I never want to quit. I may slow down but I will never quit. The day I can’t move is the day that it is
time to go to the next chapter.
3.
What activities or exercise can you implement in
your life to assist in moving toward each goal?
I think that any exercise or activities will help moving to the next
goal. Every little bit helps. I do believe that “A body in Motion, Stys in
Motion.”
4. Complete the relaxation exercise The Crime of
the Century. To hear this exercise, click here.
Describe your experience. (What it beneficial? Frustrating? etc.)
It was very relaxing. Don’t know if I fell asleep because I had been
doing some work or if it was because of the talk. My mind was all over the place but was so
calm.
